Great First visit. Small site only c 6 vehicle unloading spaces but small queue moved quickly and just a few mins waiting even for a Saturday morning/ early pm. Efficient & staff were great, super helpful & willing to lift heavier items. Downside you have to lift items up and over barriers into skips so don't overload bags. Ask for help if needed
Took defunct small electrical items to dispose of responsibly here. Man at gate yelling commands at me in an aggressive and uncouth manner. Now I don't expect someone who works at the tip to speak like a member of the Royal family but this guy was just very unprofessional and should definitely not be in a public facing role. Don't walk that way, don't cross the road, you can't arrive here on foot, you have to be in a vehicle, haven't you got a bike? (None of this is mentioned on any signs at the entrance, so how is anybody supposed to know?) After this experience I wouldn't return here to dispose of such items and will look for an alternative in future. This place is run by Suez not Salford Council.
I went during the week & there was 0 wait time. Friendly on entrance (my first time here) & explained which number bays I needed. I inevitably forgot & someone was on hand who directed. Great experience for a tip!
I arrived today with a Transit L2 H2 van and the employees was very friendly and helpful even helped to unload the furniture. Thank you very much for such a warm atmosphere. I recommend .....
Visited this morning. Guy on the roundabout directing cars in and explaining where all the bins are and where best to park. Clear parking bays, walkways and crossings, very neat and tidy site and the lad inside was just as helpful. Never thought I’d get excited about how good a tip is. I must be getting old!
